Businessman Abraham Luzzi has revealed the only condition under which he would consider returning to active politics, making it clear that his comeback would only happen on his own terms

During an interview with Spock TV, Luzzi appeared alongside his wife, Sarah, where the couple spoke openly about politics, their relationship, and life after his recent electoral defeat. Sarah was asked how she felt about nearly becoming the wife of a Member of Parliament but falling short. In response, she lightheartedly said, “Next time, better.”

However, Luzzi quickly dismissed the possibility of another attempt under normal circumstances, using a boxing metaphor to stress his point.

“There is never a ‘next time’ for me. A defending champion doesn’t step into the ring with upcoming boxers who are out of his league,” Luzzi said.

He added that the only way he would ever return to the political arena is if he were fronted as an unopposed candidate.

“I can only come back if I am brought in unopposed. Otherwise, I am comfortable staying out of active politics,” he stated.

Luzzi previously contested as an independent candidate for the Kampala Central parliamentary seat but lost to NRM’s Hajat Minsa Kabanda, marking his second consecutive defeat at the parliamentary level. Despite the loss, he remained a fan favorite, especially on social media, where many Ugandans grew fond of his bold rhetoric and humorous expressions during the campaign period.

Shifting focus to their marriage, Luzzi praised Sarah as a respectful, attentive, and hardworking partner, noting that modern relationships often struggle due to lack of mutual respect.

Sarah echoed his sentiments, referencing their biblical name connection. She said their bond goes beyond coincidence, describing it as destiny. She also linked this to the popular campaign slogan “Sarah is told,” explaining that it symbolized her respect, support for her husband, and dedication to their home.

The couple has since become one of the most admired and entertaining pairs on Ugandan social media.
