Renowned Ugandan producer Magic Washington has reflected on some of the most memorable moments from his early days in the studio, revealing that the first artist who made working with him incredibly smooth was Bobi Wine.

Speaking during an interview on NRG Radio Uganda, Magic Washington recalled his first collaborations with the singer, describing their working relationship as both professional and well-organised.
The producer worked on several songs for Bobi Wine, including “Bump Bump,” “Adam and Kaawa,” “Sunda,” “Bada,” and the popular hit “Wendi,” a track that dominated airwaves and helped further cement his name in the industry.
“Much respect to legendary Bobi Wine. I have so much respect for him because our working relationship was very professional and organized,” he said while reminiscing about their time in the studio.

According to Magic Washington, Bobi Wine often went the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly whenever they had recording sessions.
“He used to pick me from home, take me to the studio, cater for the studio time and then drive me back home,” the producer revealed.
Magic Washington noted that while his experience with Bobi Wine stood out, he has also enjoyed working with several other big names in the Ugandan music industry. Over the years, he says collaborations with artists like Bebe Cool, Cindy Sanyu, Juliana Kanyomozi, and Mesach Semakula have also been smooth and enjoyable.
