Ugandan musician Rickman Manrick has opened up about the painful moment when private videos between him and media personality Sheilah Gashumba leaked online, sending the couple into the center of intense public scrutiny.
About three years ago, the pair dominated headlines after intimate videos meant to remain private circulated on social media. Speaking about the incident, Rickman revealed that the situation deeply affected both of them, but especially Sheilah.
At the time, the couple had traveled to Turkey for a vacation. Rickman says he had flown in from the United States to meet her, and the two had been exchanging private videos before linking up in person.
“We started noticing that videos were being saved from another device. That’s when we realized something was wrong,” Rickman recalled.

According to him, Sheilah initially noticed unusual activity on her Snapchat account. Within moments, they realized someone else had access to the content. Rickman quickly blocked the suspicious account, but by then the damage had already been done.
“She was very emotional and worried, especially about how her parents would react. It was a really difficult moment for both of us,” he added.
Despite the ordeal, Rickman says they managed to support each other through the storm and eventually moved forward. Although their romantic relationship later ended, the two have maintained mutual respect.
Rickman explained that their friendship existed long before they began dating, which is why neither has publicly attacked the other since their breakup.
While Sheilah has remained single since the split, Rickman recently confirmed he is now dating TikTok influencer Gia Nina.
