A group of Arsenal fans in Uganda has announced that a high-profile delegation linked to the English Premier League club will visit the country on April 24, 2026.

The delegation is expected to include Robbie Lyle, founder of Arsenal Fan TV (AFTV) and the Global Fan Network, alongside several members of his team.

“Gentlemen of the media, warmest greetings. On 24th April 2026, we shall receive important guests in the country from the fan base of the United Kingdom’s best Arsenal football club,” the organisers said in a statement.

They added that Lyle will be accompanied by colleagues including Brett Lorette, Cecil J. Thomas, Lee Judges, Kennedy Matthew, and representatives from AFTV East Africa and Uganda.

According to the organisers, the visit will go beyond fan engagement and focus on sharing opportunities in digital media and sports business.

“We want to share their road to success and how fans can make money, grow money, and build opportunities through digital platforms,” the statement said.

The group also revealed that several Arsenal legends are expected to visit Uganda as part of the initiative. Among those mentioned are Thierry Henry, Nwankwo Kanu, Tony Adams, William Gallas and Ray Parlour.

“Those of you who watched these legends play will now have a chance to see them here in Uganda,” the organisers said.

Nabirye Barbara, Special Presidential Assistant on Special Duties and chairperson of Arsenal fans in Uganda, said the visit will be the beginning of an annual sports and fan engagement program.

“This is not a one-off event. We plan to make this an annual experience and, in the future, bring legends from other clubs as well,” she said.

Arsenal remains one of the most popular football clubs in Uganda and across Africa, with its fan base growing significantly during the era of former manager Arsène Wenger and star striker Thierry Henry.

Organisers say the visit will include fan interactions, media engagements, and community activities aimed at strengthening ties between global football brands and Ugandan supporters.
