Gravity Omutujju has accused Bebe Cool of failing to pay him for performances during the 2026 presidential campaign period, reigniting long-standing concerns over artists’ compensation in political mobilization.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Gravity presented what he said was a signed contract with the Gagamel boss, alongside a list of campaign rallies where he performed. He claims he is owed more than UGX 415 million, in addition to UGX 15 million tied to performances under the NRM’s “Unstoppable Movement.”

According to Gravity, his involvement in the rallies was strictly professional, dismissing suggestions that it was based on personal ties.

“I wasn’t taken to those rallies because we are friends. I was there because I have the energy and ability to entertain and pull crowds,” he said.

The singer also recounted an incident where Bebe Cool reportedly traveled with a select group of artists to meet President Yoweri Museveni in Soroti, leaving him behind in Busia. He later met the President separately in Mayuge, where he raised his concerns.

“When I told him about my issues, I was later informed by Bebe Cool that I wouldn’t be paid because the President would handle everything. Up to now, I haven’t received anything.”

Gravity went on to criticize Bebe Cool’s handling of artists, describing it as unfair and demanding full payment.

The allegations add to similar claims by other artists, including Buchaman, who has also accused Bebe Cool of unpaid campaign dues. In response, Bebe Cool has previously maintained that payments are pending release.

Meanwhile, Eddy Kenzo—who also faced separate accusations from some artists—has consistently stated that all performers under his coordination were paid.

With tensions resurfacing between artists who once reconciled during the campaigns, attention now turns to how Bebe Cool will address Gravity’s demands.
