Media personality and businessman Frank Gashumba has advised men to always keep emergency cash at home to prepare for unexpected situations.

Speaking during an appearance on Radio 4 UG, Gashumba explained that every responsible man should have money saved in different currencies for emergencies.

“As a man of my caliber, I make sure that I at least have cash of two different currencies back home. That is Ugandan shillings and Dollars,” he said.

He further revealed that only he and his wife know where the dollars are kept, emphasizing the importance of privacy and security when storing emergency funds.

According to Gashumba, keeping physical cash can help during moments when banks or financial systems are unavailable yet urgent action is required.

He argued that one could wake up and find all banks not functioning while facing an emergency that requires immediate travel outside the country.

“How would you do that?” he questioned.

Gashumba added that the minimum amount of emergency cash a man should keep is at least 1,000 US dollars, saying it can help during unexpected crises or urgent responsibilities.
