Veteran journalist and media personality Simon Kaggwa Njala has opened up about why he believes some people find it difficult to get close to him.

Speaking during an interview hosted by Shamim Mayanja on Executive Media, Njala was asked why many people appear reluctant to maintain close relationships with him.

In his response, Njala said his outspoken nature is one of the biggest reasons some people are intimidated by him. According to him, he is extremely open-minded and never hesitates to express his opinions, a trait he believes can push some individuals away.

“I’m very outspoken. I say things as they are, and I know exactly what I like,” he explained.

The veteran broadcaster added that his honesty is sometimes so intense that even he occasionally finds it excessive. He noted that he prefers being direct rather than pretending to be someone he is not, regardless of how others may perceive him.

Njala also jokingly mentioned that his habit of keeping his eyes wide open could make some people uncomfortable or intimidated when interacting with him.

Despite the perceptions surrounding him, he emphasized that there is nothing complicated about his personality. He described himself as a principled man who simply chooses to stand by his beliefs and values.

According to him, his strong principles and straightforward approach to life may not appeal to everyone, but they are an important part of who he is and how he relates with others.
