- Zahara’s comments have revived their long-running feud, which was visible on Kampala Crème.
Media personality Zahara Totto has once again taken aim at Prima Kardashi, insisting that Uganda no longer has “real” socialites because most of those carrying the title are financially struggling.

While appearing in an interview discussing the state of Uganda’s socialite scene, Zahara argued that the word socialite is being misused. According to her, a true socialite should be financially stable, self-sustaining, and able to maintain a glamorous lifestyle without depending on anyone.
Zahara then singled out Prima Kardashi, saying she does not fit that description. She claimed that someone living in a single room and handling everything from there cannot be considered a socialite. Zahara also took a swipe at Prima’s food business, Prima Lusaniya, alleging that it failed because of poor food quality and weak management.
“A socialite must be able to sustain their lifestyle financially without depending on anyone. That title should not be given to just anyone,” Zahara said.

She added that many people in Uganda have continued to use the label loosely, yet the country’s socialite culture has greatly faded compared to previous years.
Zahara and Prima’s tension is not new. Their fallout became more visible during their appearances on the Kampala Crème reality show, where the two often traded jabs and clashed on screen.
Still, Zahara’s remarks have reignited debate about whether Uganda still has a genuine socialite class. In the past, the scene was dominated by flashy and wealthy figures such as Zari Hassan, Bad Black, Meddie Ssentongo, Bryan White and the late Ivan Ssemwanga, whose extravagant lifestyles once defined the title.
