According to Walukagga, he made it difficult for land grabbers to operate while serving as a minister by taking deliberate measures to protect public land.

“I made it so hard for people to steal land up until I left office,” he said.

While backing Balaam’s inspections, Walukagga pointed out one area he believes could improve the exercise. He said he would ensure experienced engineers are involved in technical inspections to provide professional assessments.

He also defended the minister’s decision to document the inspections on camera and share the footage on social media, saying the publicity helps raise awareness and demonstrates accountability to the public.

“I don’t condone corruption and what he is doing is right. Let taxpayers’ money do what it’s supposed to do,” he stated.
