  • Karole Kasita says personal family challenges prevented her from appearing on the Nassanga remix.
  • She was willing to record her verse and even paid the songwriter, but a power outage and her emotional state prevented her from completing the process.
  • The singer says she genuinely wanted to feature on the remix but believes it may have ultimately been meant for other artists.

Karole Kasita has finally addressed why she did not feature on the Nassanga remix, despite initially being lined up for the collaboration before her place was eventually taken by Winnie Nwagi.

Speaking to Galaxy FM, the singer revealed that she was battling deeply personal family issues at the time, making it difficult for her to fully commit to the project.

“I had very many family problems and they were so personal that I couldn’t tell them exactly what it was,” she explained.

Kasita disclosed that she still made an effort to honor the opportunity by going to the studio to record her verse. However, a power outage disrupted the session, and given everything she was already dealing with emotionally, she couldn’t stay any longer and had to leave.

She also revealed that she had personally paid the songwriter for her verse before handing it over to the producer, emphasizing that she fulfilled her responsibilities.

According to Kasita, perhaps the remix was simply destined for a different lineup of artists, even though she genuinely wanted to be part of it.

“I felt the song and really wanted to be on it,” she said, adding that despite everything happening in her personal life, she still tried to make it work.

The singer admitted that the period was one of the most emotionally difficult moments in her life.

“I wasn’t emotionally okay as a person. I was going through some emotional problems, to be sincere,” she confessed.
