Former Makerere University Guild President and Bobi Wine’s nephew, Ssentamu Churchill James, has revealed that if he were to make a major investment in a woman, his first choice would be building a business for her rather than spending on lavish gifts or luxury vacations.

Speaking during an interview, Churchill explained that empowering a woman financially creates long-term value for both partners.

When asked why he wouldn’t opt for experiences such as a Dubai vacation, he said his goal would be to ensure that by the time they decide to travel together, the woman is financially capable of paying for her own accommodation using profits from the business he helped establish.

According to Churchill, men also appreciate receiving support and recognition, adding that seeing an investment bear fruit is rewarding.

“If you want a man to love you so much or treat you like a knowledgeable person, then make sure what they’ve invested in you yields profits,” he said.

He acknowledged that not every man shares his perspective but maintained that he believes investing in a partner’s financial growth is more meaningful than spending on temporary luxuries.

Churchill added that spending Shs10 million or even Shs20 million on a vacation would not be difficult for him, but he would derive greater satisfaction from seeing his partner’s business thrive and generate profits.
