Singer and songwriter Dokta Brain has opened up about whether his former singing partner, Hatim, will join him on stage at his maiden show scheduled to take place at Skyz Hotel, Naguru.

Dokta Brain and Hatim previously worked together as a musical duo and released several songs that became popular with their fans. However, the partnership eventually came to an end, and the two have since gone their separate ways.

With Dokta Brain preparing for his maiden show, questions have emerged over whether Hatim could make a surprise appearance and reunite with his former partner on stage.

Asked if Hatim would perform at the concert, Dokta Brain suggested that he had not received any indication that his former singing partner intended to attend.

“If he wanted to come, he would have reached out by now. I would also be shocked to see him there.”

Dokta Brain, however, noted that Hatim could still reach out to the show’s management if he wanted to be part of the event, rather than contacting him personally.

The singer was also asked whether the two still communicate despite their separation. Dokta Brain confirmed that they do, but said their communication is now limited and largely connected to their musical business.

According to him, they mainly get in touch when they need to discuss or share royalties generated from their music on streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Dokta Brain also reflected on his new song, “Bikyaganye,” revealing that he had reached a point where he considered returning to his village and using the money he earns from songwriting to establish himself and build a better life.

He explained that one of his biggest motivations is ensuring that his child does not grow up struggling financially.

“I don’t want my child to grow up as a poor man’s son.”

However, the release of Bikyaganye appears to have opened new doors for the songwriter. Dokta Brain said the song brought him several monetary opportunities, including people who had previously failed to pay him coming forward to settle their debts.

Beyond his own music, Dokta Brain also weighed in on the ongoing public feud between Crysto Panda and Gloria Bugie.

He criticised the exchanges between the two personalities, describing what has played out on social media as wrong and calling for the situation to end.

Dokta Brain suggested that Crysto Panda had moved away from his solo musical journey to engage in the confrontation, while Gloria Bugie, according to him, used whatever was at her disposal to attack him.

He believes the two should put the public confrontation to rest.
