Socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan, popularly known as the Bosslady, has urged women to be “stingy” with their wombs, encouraging them to think carefully before having children with their partners.

Zari emphasized the importance of women being financially prepared to raise their children independently, noting that the number of single mothers continues to rise.

“I know you think that you love him. You think that if you have a baby with him, he’s never gonna walk away. Oh, he will walk away,” she said, warning that some men even abandon women while they are still pregnant despite previously begging them to have children.

According to Zari, some men can completely change their attitude once a woman becomes pregnant.

“They’ll beg you to get pregnant but when you do, they’ll start running around. ‘Oh, we need to abort… I didn’t tell you I was married,’” she said.

She advised women who already have children and feel ready to have another to make the decision for themselves rather than having a baby solely because of their relationship.

“If you’ve had a child before and you feel ready to have another, have that baby for yourself,” she advised.

However, Zari clarified that she is not suggesting that all men are irresponsible, acknowledging that there are still good and supportive men who can provide for their families.

“Don’t get me wrong, there are still good men out there. Providing men, and it could be good for you,” she said.

She further pointed out the financial responsibility that comes with pregnancy and raising a child, from antenatal care and delivery to the long-term costs of bringing up a child.

“Make sure you’re in a position to take care of this child if things don’t work out with your person. And if you can’t, stay stingy,” she concluded.
