Ava Peace has emphasized the growing influence of female artists in Uganda’s music industry, arguing that women can no longer be left out when discussing the country’s top performers.

The singer made the remarks while appearing on the NBS After5 show, where she shared her belief that female artists are becoming more hardworking and that the industry is gradually changing for the better.

“We are very smart now and I believe we’re all doing well,” she emphasized, adding that the industry now perceives most female artists differently and gives them greater recognition.

According to Ava Peace, the progress made by female musicians is evident in the way they are competing, creating music and establishing themselves within the industry.

She further stressed that when Uganda’s biggest artists are being discussed, at least one female artist should be part of the conversation.
