Socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan has once again addressed the long-running debate about her age, revealing that she is actually 46 years old and explaining why some of her official documents indicate otherwise.
During an interview with Sanyuka TV, Zari said she was born in 1980 in Uganda, but difficulties tracing her original birth records later created confusion about her age.
According to Zari, the clinic where her birth was recorded in Walukuba had closed, making it difficult to retrieve her original records. She later travelled to Kampala to look for her documents, but because her details could not be found in the system, a different year was eventually entered on her documents.
Zari said the year 1978 was used, although she maintains that she was born in 1980.

“I was born in 1980. The clinic had closed, so I came to Kampala looking for my documents, but they could not find me in the system,” Zari explained.
She also pushed back against people who question her age, saying those who have known her throughout her life can confirm when she was born.
“I cannot fake my age. My friends and family have been there throughout my entire life. If you want to know, go and do your research,” she said.
Beyond the age debate, Zari said the secret to looking happy and youthful is not simply about money or appearance but finding happiness from within.
The mother of five explained that even wealthy people can fail to look genuinely happy if they have not found inner peace.
She encouraged people to work on their happiness instead of relying entirely on external things, saying genuine happiness can affect how someone looks and feels.
