- Spice Diana will hold her After 10 Stars concert at Marriott Hotel Nsambya on January 16, 2027.
- She says the show is designed to better cater to fans who spend more than Shs1 million on VIP tables.
- She says Marriott is easier to organise and promote than Lugogo Cricket Oval because the target audience is more defined.
Ugandan singer Spice Diana has explained why she chose the newly opened Marriott Hotel Nsambya as the venue for her upcoming concert, saying she wants to create a more exclusive experience for her high-end fans.

Spice Diana is set to stage her “After 10 Stars of Spice Diana” concert on January 16, 2027, marking her return to the concert stage after taking a break from her usual January shows.
Speaking on Galaxy FM, the singer explained that she has previously found it challenging to bring together fans who spend more than Shs1 million on tables with those who pay Shs50,000 or Shs20,000 for entry.
According to Spice Diana, the Marriott show is intended to cater more specifically to her upscale audience, after some VIP fans complained about difficulties interacting comfortably with the general crowd.

“I have been finding it difficult to combine my VIP fans who pay over a million for a table and those who pay 50,000 and 20,000.”
She said some of the concerns raised by VIP attendees include security and incidents such as phone theft, making it difficult for different categories of fans to enjoy the same environment.
“This concert is going to be for my upscale fans. Then I will have another concert for the other category of fans.”
Spice Diana also compared organising a concert at Marriott with staging one at Lugogo Cricket Oval, where she previously held a major show.
She explained that Marriott makes it easier to identify and target the intended audience, while Lugogo requires much heavier promotion because fans travel from different parts of Uganda.
For Lugogo, she said, promoters have to spend more on advertising and other logistics to attract a large nationwide audience. At Marriott, however, the target market is more defined, making promotion and organisation relatively easier.
Despite the difference in venue and audience, Spice Diana said the performance standards will remain the same because fans at both venues expect a quality live show.
The singer’s After 10 Stars concert is therefore expected to offer a more intimate and premium setting when she takes the stage at Marriott Hotel Nsambya on January 16, 2027.
