Karole first praised the artists behind the remake of the hit song Nassanga, naming the crew among her favourites of the year. These included Eddy Kenzo, Khalifa Aganaga and Winnie Nwagi.

Other names on her list included Spice Diana, Sheebah Karungi, Cindy Sanyu.

Speaking about Cindy Sanyu, Karole noted that the Boom Party singer has reinvented herself, praising her music, stage performances and youthful appearance.

“Cindy has rebranded herself. The music is there, the stage performance is there, and she really looks younger,” Karole said.

The singer also gave herself credit, saying she has performed well throughout the year and deserved to be counted among the artists who made an impact in 2026.

She further singled out Joshua Baraka, explaining that he was difficult to place on a list of the year’s best because he consistently ranks among the top artists and frequently dominates music charts.

Karole also recognised Vyroota, noting that he has two songs she particularly enjoys, while upcoming singer Lutty Neika and King Saha were among the other artists she mentioned.

Although she acknowledged that she might have forgotten some names, Karole maintained that the musicians she listed had delivered performances and music worthy of recognition.

Her choices offer a glimpse into the artists who have captured her attention this year, as Uganda’s music industry continues to welcome new talent while established performers work to maintain their dominance.

With the year approaching its end, the debate over which musicians truly deserve the crown for 2026 is already gathering momentum.
