  • Music expert Feffe Bussi claimed Nigerian artists hold a major edge over Ugandans due to their relentless release schedules.
  • Bussi slammed the slow pace of local talent, noting some Ugandan singers drop only a single track throughout an entire year.
  • Nigerian stars dominate airwaves by dropping multiple solo projects, collabs, and remixes nearly every week.

Feffe Bussi has explained how Nigerian artists promote their music, arguing that their release strategy gives them an advantage over Ugandan musicians.

He noted that Nigerian artists release more music within a short period, including solo projects, collaborations and remixes, allowing them to reach different audiences. In contrast, he believes many Ugandan artists release one song at a time and spend months promoting it.

“There are things we follow even when we don’t know who implemented them. You find an artist releasing just one song in a whole year,” he explained.

Feffe Bussi also pointed out that Nigerian artists collaborate with several musicians, helping them tap into different fan bases while consistently giving listeners new music.

“We only release three songs every Friday. And an artist will spend almost three songs trying to promote this particular song,” he said.

He argued that this difference in pace gives Nigerian musicians an advantage because they have a wider catalogue of music for audiences to discover.

Feffe Bussi further challenged Ugandan artists who complain that deejays do not play their music, noting that there may be only a few new songs available locally while artists from other countries have numerous releases, collaborations and remixes.

He believes Ugandan musicians need to rethink their release and promotion strategies if they want to compete more effectively with artists from Nigeria and other music markets.
