• A Pass plans to launch a perfume brand called “GOAT Perfume by A Pass.”
  • The line will feature two scents — an aquatic fresh fragrance and a darker night perfume.
  • The project has been in development for years, reflecting his long-term business vision.

Musician Alexander Bagonza, popularly known as A Pass, continues to position himself as one of Uganda’s most financially savvy artists, consistently expanding his footprint beyond music through strategic brand partnerships and business ventures.

Known for being one of the most sought-after brand ambassadors in the country, the “Chupa Ku Chupa” hitmaker has now revealed plans to venture into the fragrance industry with his own perfume line.

Speaking during an interview with a content creator, A Pass disclosed that he is working on launching a signature scent collection he intends to call “GOAT Perfume by A Pass.” The name draws from the term “GOAT”  a phrase that became closely associated with him following his publicized clash with fellow musician Bebe Cool in 2018 — a moment that cemented the branding around his confidence and self-belief.

“I’m actually planning to make my own perfume. That’s what I told the guy… It’s something I’m looking into. And I’ve been looking into it for years. I take my time, but I like to work on something.”

The singer emphasized that this is not an impulsive celebrity product but an idea he has been quietly developing over time, reflecting his calculated approach to business.

According to A. Pass, the fragrance line will likely debut with two distinct scents, each crafted for different moods, occasions, and weather settings.

“I’ll probably make two solid ones… maybe a night one for warmer weather and one that is aquatic.”

Explaining the inspiration behind the aquatic fragrance, the artist broke it down in simple sensory imagery:

“Aquatic is more like water — aqua… Think about water in aqua form. It’s beach-like, swimming-pool-like on a sunny day. So it’s like a fresh kind of perfume.”

The second fragrance will lean toward a deeper, warmer profile — ideal for evenings, dates, or colder environments.

“And one that is probably dark for like colder weather… It’s like a date or something — that kind of warmth in the perfume.”

A. Pass added that creative ideation is a constant process for him, even outside music.

“So in my mind, I’m always thinking about all these things… I’m always looking at such things.”

If launched, the GOAT Perfume line would place A Pass among a growing list of musicians leveraging personal brands into lifestyle and luxury products — further solidifying his reputation not just as an artist, but as an entrepreneur.
