- The expansion follows the recent launch of its first shop at Ham Towers in Wandegeya.
- The brand plans to roll out more branches across Kampala and other Ugandan cities.
International beverage and dessert franchise Ai-CHA Food SG PTE. LTD has strengthened its presence in Kampala with the opening of its second outlet, this time in Kansanga opposite Najjuko House near Kansanga Market.
The new branch comes just weeks after the brand made its Ugandan debut with its first shop at Ham Towers in Wandegeya. With the Kansanga launch, A’icha signals that its expansion drive in the capital is already in motion.
The Malaysia-based franchise entered Uganda with a market-specific approach, starting with a limited selection of about 12 flavors out of its global menu of over 100 options. According to company representatives, the strategy is to study customer preferences before gradually expanding the menu. Early feedback has already influenced plans to introduce new flavors, including mango ice cream.
Like the first branch, the Kansanga outlet is targeting students, young professionals, families, and anyone looking for affordable, trendy drinks and desserts. Products are priced between UGX 3,000 and UGX 8,000, making them accessible to a wide customer base.

A’icha operates under a franchise model, with local investors running outlets while the parent company provides branding, systems, and operational support. The company has previously indicated plans to open up to 50 outlets across Kampala, with future expansion expected in cities such as Mbarara, Gulu, and Mbale.
With two outlets now operational in a short span, A’icha appears determined to establish itself as a major player in Kampala’s growing beverage and dessert market.
