While appearing on her regular Morning Xpress show, Aanatalia openly shared her decision, saying the time had come for her to step back, reflect, and prepare for what lies ahead.

She revealed that she has been on television since 2010, a journey of about 15 years, during which she has learned, grown, and experienced almost everything the industry has to offer. According to her, the break is a personal choice meant to allow her to recharge and reassess her future.

“I need time to refresh, regenerate, and see what’s next for me,” Anatalia told viewers during the show.

Annatalia explained that she chose to publicly clarify her decision to avoid speculation surrounding her departure. She acknowledged that without an explanation, people might assume she had been fired or abandoned by Next Media Services, something she was keen to dismiss.

She added that the decision to speak out was taken after advice from one of her superiors, giving her confidence that the public would better understand her situation.

In recent weeks, speculation has also grown due to Anatalia’s pregnancy, with many believing it may have influenced her decision to take time off. However, she did not confirm whether this played a role in her sabbatical.

For now, it remains unclear whether Annatalia will return to television once her leave ends or transition into other ventures. Notably, she has recently stood out as a strong voice during coverage of the Nakivubo floods, where traders lost property worth millions, prompting speculation that she may be considering a future leadership or advocacy role.

Whatever the case, Annatalia’s announcement marks the end of an important chapter—and possibly the beginning of a new one.
