Ugandan music star Bebe Cool has once again declared his unwavering support for Yoweri Museveni, saying he would back him in the 2031 general elections because, in his view, Museveni remains the best person to lead the country.

Museveni, who is now 81 years old and would be 86 by 2031, has been in power since 1986. Over the years, Bebe Cool has stood out as one of his most vocal supporters from Uganda’s entertainment industry — and it doesn’t look like that is changing anytime soon.

Speaking during a live session on his social media, the singer urged Ugandans to consider giving the President another term.

“In the next election of 2031, let’s bring back the President. Let’s bring him back one more time — even if he’s in a wheelchair — when he has sorted the oil, when people are getting Shs 2 or 3 million each from PDM money, and when the LC system has been corrected in these five years,” Bebe Cool said.

The artist expressed confidence in Uganda’s oil project, noting that drilling is expected to begin this year. According to him, the oil sector has the potential to transform ordinary Ugandans’ lives, and he believes Museveni is the right person to safeguard and manage those gains.

Bebe Cool made the remarks while wrapping up discussions on recent campaign matters, developments in the music industry, and what lies ahead for him personally. As always, his comments have stirred conversation — reinforcing his position as not just a musician, but a figure unafraid to speak his political mind.
