- Buchaman confirmed during a Galaxy TV interview that he is the father of 23 children.

- The singer joked that his children are his contribution to Uganda’s population and economy.
Dancehall veteran Buchaman has revealed that he is now a father of 23 children, a number he says he only confirmed recently after taking time to actually count them.

While appearing on the Rewind show on Galaxy TV Uganda, the outspoken singer opened up about his unusually large family and how his music career partly influenced it.
Buchaman explained that being active in the entertainment industry exposed him to many different people over the years. Those interactions, he said, eventually led to him having children in various places.
Despite the high number, the dancehall figure didn’t sound troubled by it at all. If anything, he spoke about it with pride, noting that coming from a big family himself shaped how he views fatherhood.

According to Buchaman, his own father reportedly had close to 50 children, something he believes influenced his mindset about having a large family.
With a laugh during the interview, he joked that his growing household is simply his way of giving back to the country.
“It’s my contribution to Uganda’s economy. I have a whole government,” he said humorously, adding that whenever Uganda conducts a population census, he knows he has done his part in increasing the numbers.
Even with the circumstances surrounding some of the children, Buchaman says he remains proud of every one of them and fully embraces his responsibility as their father.
