Ugandan musician Carol Nantongo has opened up about the changes motherhood and marriage have brought into her life, revealing how her daily routine has been transformed since welcoming her child.

According to Carol, she was never much of a morning person and previously had the freedom to wake up whenever she wanted. However, motherhood has completely changed that routine, as she now has to wake up early to take care of her child despite often going to bed late.

Carol described the early stages of motherhood as a tough adjustment but said things are gradually becoming easier as her child grows and she also gets used to her new responsibilities.

The “Oliwa” singer also spoke about her music career and revealed that she plans to return to the industry soon.

However, Carol said fans should not expect a concert immediately. She explained that she would first return to making music, reconnect with and rejuvenate her fan base before considering a major concert.

“I will first do some music, rejuvenate my fans and then decide on a concert,” she said.

Carol was also asked about her close friendships within Uganda’s music industry. She mentioned fellow musicians Vinka, Spice Diana and Levixone among those she considers close friends.

When asked whether she has friendships with musicians from the older generation, Carol said she does have friends among them, although she is not as close to them as she is to artists from her own generation.

The singer has largely kept a lower profile musically in recent times as she adjusts to motherhood and family life.
