  • Alien Skin has refused to retract his controversial remarks about the Basoga, insisting his stature is bigger than the tribe and even its cultural institution.
  • The Fangone Forest boss claimed his influence now places him at a “presidential level,” far above ordinary comparisons.
  • His renewed comments are likely to reignite tensions after months of backlash from Basoga cultural supporters and social media critics.

Fangone Forest boss, Alien Skin, has reignited controversy after refusing to soften his earlier remarks about the Basoga community.

Speaking in an interview with Sanyuka TV, the singer said critics from Busoga should stop attacking him, boldly claiming that his fame and influence now surpass the entire tribe, including their revered cultural leader, the Kyabazinga.

Alien Skin argued that he has reached what he described as a “presidential level,” saying he cannot be compared to ordinary people or even cultural institutions.

“I am bigger than the whole Basoga tribe and even their Kyabazinga. My level now is presidential,” Alien Skin said during the interview.

The controversial musician went even further, suggesting that if anything, he should be the one leading them because of his popularity and reach across Uganda’s entertainment scene.

His comments come weeks after an earlier fallout with the Basoga, when he vowed never to return to Busoga following a bitter exchange that spilled across social media and local media platforms.

In the interview, Alien Skin also hinted that while he had chosen to focus on his recent legal troubles involving UPDF soldiers, he remains ready to respond if the Basoga community pushes back again.

“I had paused that issue to deal with my arrest and the UPDF matter, but if they want the war again, I am ready,” he added.

The remarks have already sparked fresh outrage online, with many users describing them as disrespectful and derogatory toward one of Uganda’s most respected cultural institutions.
