- His views sparked mixed reactions among netizens on wealth’s role.
Ugandan musician Daddy Andre has stirred public debate after sharing his views on money and life’s true purpose during a televised interview.

Speaking on SALT TV in a conversation hosted by Susan Makula, Andre argued that money is not the most important factor in human existence. Instead, he emphasized faith, peace, and spiritual fulfillment as life’s real foundation.
Andre questioned society’s heavy dependence on wealth, noting that many people who acquire money later in life still managed to survive before they had it.
“Money has never been the main basis of human existence. Even if it wasn’t there, people would still survive,” Andre said.

He added that human survival has always been rooted in God’s provision through nature.
“If someone has knowledge to look for food like mangoes and other fruits that grow naturally, it shows life is about God — not money.”
According to the singer, once a person finds God and inner peace, material things lose their overwhelming importance.
However, his remarks have drawn mixed reactions online. Critics argue that while faith is vital, money remains central to modern living — funding healthcare, education, housing, and basic services. Others countered that God gave humans the ability to work and earn, making wealth creation part of divine design.
The discussion has since evolved into a broader societal debate on balancing spirituality and economic reality in today’s world.
