• Daxx Kartel praises Cindy Sanyu’s undeniable talent and growth after Blu*3.
  • He credits Sheebah Karungi for her self-made rise in the music industry.
  • Despite ongoing debates, Daxx firmly chooses Sheebah as his top female artist.

Singer Daxx Kartel has weighed in on the long-standing debate between Sheebah Karungi and Cindy Sanyu, two of Uganda’s most influential female artists.

The rivalry—both personal and fueled by fanbases—has gone on for years, with fans constantly arguing over who reigns supreme in dancehall and female music dominance in Uganda.

According to Daxx Kartel, Cindy’s talent has never been in question. He noted that during her time in Blu*3, she may not have fully expressed her potential due to the structured nature of a group setting, where members are often assigned specific roles.

“Cindy Sanyu is extremely talented. Even back in Blu*3, you could see glimpses of greatness, but she was limited by the group dynamics.”

He explained that after going solo, Cindy evolved into the artist she was always meant to be, cementing her place as one of Uganda’s top performers.

However, Daxx Kartel reserved his highest praise for Sheebah Karungi, highlighting her journey from humble beginnings to becoming a self-made star. He emphasized that unlike many artists who are groomed and strategically placed in the industry, Sheebah fought her way to the top.

“Sheebah built herself from nothing. She earned her place at the table, and that kind of hustle deserves respect.”

While acknowledging that the debate between the two artists may never truly be settled—especially given their past collaborations—Daxx made his stance clear.

For him, it’s Sheebah all the way.
