Global Citizen has announced how American rapper Doja Cat is set to headline the 2026 edition of its Move Afrika tour, with two major shows lined up in East and Southern Africa.

The Grammy award-winning global superstar will first perform in Kigali, Rwanda at the BK Arena on 17 March before heading to Pretoria, South Africa for a second show at the SunBet Arena on 20 March 2026.

Organizers say the tour aims to “drive investment, create jobs and showcase Africa’s growing creative economy through world-class entertainment experiences.”

“We’re excited to bring Move Afrika back for a third year and even more thrilled to have Doja Cat headline this edition,” the organizers noted, adding that the shows will blend music with advocacy and economic impact initiatives.

Rwanda has of recent become a hub of international events, hosting a growing list of global music icons. In recent years, stars such as Davido and John Legend have all staged headline performances in Kigali, reinforcing the country’s positioning as a continental entertainment destination.

Tickets for both shows are already on sale, with high demand expected as Move Afrika continues to expand its footprint across the continent.
