Upcoming singer Dynaso Wegoso has broken his silence after the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) suspended his viral song “Mukube Paver” over concerns that it promotes violence and dangerous TikTok challenges. The directive, issued earlier this week, gave the artist until April 16, 2026, to appear before the commission and respond to the allegations.

Speaking during an interview on Spark TV, Dynaso clarified that the song’s real title is “Paver,” while “Mukube Paver” is simply one of the most repeated lines in the track. He revealed that he first received the UCC notice privately before it was later made public online.

“The song is called Paver, not Mukube Paver. That is just one of the lines people picked and made popular.”

The singer said he is ready to fully cooperate with the regulator and even joked that by April 15 he would be sleeping at UCC offices, showing how serious he is about defending his work.

According to Dynaso, the song was never meant to glorify violence but rather to reflect the harsh reality of paver attacks and street crime that have become common in the country. He noted that even some of his own friends have fallen victim to such attacks and later died from their injuries.

“I was condemning what is happening on the streets, not encouraging it. Even before the song, these attacks were already happening.”

Dynaso also blamed the viral TikTok challenges on content creators, saying once music is released, an artist cannot fully control how the public interprets or uses it. He admitted the song had started bringing him some income, and the suspension now leaves him worried about survival.

Still, the singer says he will shift focus to his other songs as he waits for UCC’s final decision.
