Hon. Emmanuel Magoola has come out strongly to dismiss claims by singer-turned-politician Mathias Walukagga that the two had an agreement involving compensation linked to Magoola’s political success.

Speaking in an interview with Sanyuka TV, Magoola said there was never any written or verbal understanding between him and the Kadongo Kamu artist. His response follows recent allegations by Walukagga, who claimed that after being disqualified from the Busiro East parliamentary race by the Electoral Commission, he chose to back Magoola and used his own resources, networks, and influence to mobilise support across the constituency.

Walukagga had further alleged that this support came with an understanding that he would be fully compensated once Magoola won the seat.

However, Magoola flatly rejected the claims, describing them as baseless. He said he only came across the video in which Walukagga made the allegations on the same day and insisted that the assertions were nothing more than “street talk.”

Addressing suggestions that he owes Walukagga in any way, Magoola clarified that their interaction was strictly professional. According to him, the singer was engaged purely as a musician to perform at campaign events, not as a political partner with any stake in the outcome of the election.

He concluded by stressing that no arrangement existed that tied his victory to any form of compensation for Walukagga, maintaining that the claims being circulated have no truth to them.
