The Kutama singer, whose real name is Walukagga Shafik, lost his mother in a heartbreaking moment that left fans and fellow musicians rallying around him. She was laid to rest in an emotional burial ceremony where the rapper was seen visibly grief-stricken, struggling to hold back tears as he paid his final respects.

Speaking during an interview with Evelyn MiC on Spark TV, Fameica shared that coping with the loss has been one of the hardest periods of his life.

“It is very difficult… I honestly cannot put it into words for people to understand. Some moments people make me happy, but when I’m alone, the painful memories always come back,” he said.

The rapper added that although the grief remains heavy, he has noticed small emotional progress compared to the first days after her passing.

“I believe with time I will heal because how I feel now is not the same way I felt two weeks ago. I know healing will come step by step.”

When asked whether he is seeking professional therapy, Fameica revealed that he is not currently seeing a therapist. However, he emphasized that he is intentionally working on his happiness, noting that his mother would want him to stay strong and keep moving forward.

Beyond his personal loss, the interview also touched on his relationship with fellow rapper Feffe Bussi. The two have previously had a public feud, but Bussi’s appearance at Fameica’s mother’s funeral signaled a thaw in tensions.

Fameica confirmed there is no bad blood between them. He revealed that they recently crossed paths at a concert held at Sheraton Kampala Hotel where they exchanged pleasantries. He also disclosed plans to attend Bussi’s upcoming concert set for May 16 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The self-styled “King Kong” concluded by downplaying industry feuds, saying he believes the world is big enough for everyone to succeed without conflict.
