Singer Big Eye StarBoss has revealed that he is considering selling his music catalog for billions, marking what could be one of his biggest business decisions yet.

Speaking in a brief interview with Spark TV, the “Indicator” hitmaker linked the move to recent changes in Uganda’s copyright framework. According to him, the strengthened laws now give artists more control over their work—making it the right time to start thinking about long-term investments and deals.

Big Eye believes his catalog carries serious value and says he’s open to talks—but only with buyers who truly understand what they’re getting.

“I have quite a big catalog, so with the copyright law now in place, I’m putting it up for sale to someone who can afford it,” he said.

He was quick to make it clear that he’s not interested in small offers. In his view, any serious investor needs to come prepared to match the earning potential of his music.

“If I say I need 10 billion in five years, I believe you can make even more from my songs—from ‘Indicator’ to ‘Kuuma,’ my latest release,” he added.

The singer also brushed off lower proposals, pointing out that offers like UGX 50 million spread over several years don’t reflect the real value of his work.

“I can make 50 million in just two months,” he said confidently.

Still, Big Eye noted that formal negotiations will only begin once the new copyright law is fully implemented. He believes the legal framework will play a key role in shaping how the deal is structured—and ultimately how successful it becomes.
