Ugandan singer Ronald Alimpa, popularly known for his hit Sean Don, is finally smiling after an emotional public appeal about his difficult living conditions prompted an outpouring of support from well-wishers.

Following his release from jail, where he had been detained over allegations of public nuisance, Alimpa recently revealed that he lacked basic household necessities and did not even have a place to stay. His plea touched many Ugandans, who responded by donating several essential items, including chairs, a television, and other household belongings.
In addition to the donations, the singer has also secured a new home along Salama Road.
“I got a double room because I’ve never slept in a single room, and I don’t think I can start now,” Alimpa said while speaking about his new accommodation.

Despite the support he has already received, Alimpa says his next dream is to own a car. He explained that he has never been able to replace the vehicle he lost following a tragic road accident about two years ago.
“I hope someone can also help me with a car because I lost mine in the accident and I’ve never managed to replace it,” he said.
His remarks have since divided opinion on social media. While some users accused the singer of appearing ungrateful by asking for more immediately after receiving help, others defended him, arguing that there is nothing wrong with expressing another need.
Supporters pointed out that the donations were given voluntarily and that Alimpa never forced anyone to contribute. They believe he is simply trying to rebuild his life and career after enduring a difficult period marked by legal troubles and financial hardship.
