Kinkizi East MP and Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, has once again hit back at Kasambya County MP Daudi Kabanda, calling him “intellectually un-gifted” during an interview with Solomon Sserwanja.

Addressing his recent comments on X, Baryomunsi said Kabanda is attempting to endear himself to influential figures like Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba rather than engage in meaningful discourse.

“From what he wrote, I advise him to upgrade his education and reason like those who went to school. Kabanda is one of the intellectually un-gifted people. He has low levels of education,” Baryomunsi said.

“He’s just a mere senior six-level. At our level, we can’t engage in an intellectual discussion with him.”

Baryomunsi emphasized that unlike Kabanda, he is not seeking appointments or trying to impress anyone.

“I am not a job seeker. I speak my mind the way I see it. I give honest advice to the president and the government—things many people would ordinarily fear to say,” he said.

The minister said that he holds a PhD in medical sciences and has served as a senior advisor with the United Nations in New York and Harare, added that his political engagement is driven by service, not personal gain.

“I don’t seek attention. I communicate to inform the public. Even if my words are not palatable to everyone, my duty is to be honest, truthful, and give it my best,” Baryomunsi added.

He concluded with a blunt message to Kabanda: “I advised him to go back to school so that when you raise an argument, people see you as somebody making intelligible points, not just pedestrian talk.”
