Iryn Namubiru, while appearing on KFM Radio’s D’Hook show, shared her thoughts on the current Ugandan music scene and the artists catching her attention.

She revealed that although she doesn’t get the chance to listen to every artist in the industry, she is aware of several who are exceptionally talented.

“I don’t want to mention any because people easily get offended nowadays,” she joked, adding that sometimes she may know a song but not its title—or even the artist behind it.

However, when pressed on which artists have recently impressed her, she admitted that many are doing well but highlighted a few who stand out to her.

She specifically praised Tracy Melon, noting that her uniqueness and sweet voice make her different from the rest.

“I like Tracy Melon, she’s different and has a really sweet voice,” she said.

Iryn also gave recognition to Aaronx, Azawi, and Elijah Kitaka for their impressive work.

Additionally, she showed appreciation for a gospel artist, Cynthia Birungi, describing her as very talented despite not being mainstream at the moment.
