• Daddy Andre held an introduction ceremony with Sylvia Suubi in Busia.
  • He funded the function himself as a sign of appreciation to his partner.
  • The singer says the wedding is next and will be bigger.

Musician Andrew Ojambo, alias Daddy Andre, has revealed how he has achieved one of his long-term dreams since he was a kid — and this is marriage.

It should be noted that Andre, over the weekend, held an introduction ceremony with his partner known as Sylvia Suubi.

According to Andre, he grew up in a home where he saw his mother and father living together as a happy married couple. This was always something he wished for, and he believes he is now on track to live exactly like his parents, especially after the successful introduction ceremony.

“I grew up seeing my mother and father live happily as husband and wife, and I always wanted the same for my life.”

Additionally, Andre revealed that introduction ceremonies are a way to preserve and promote the prestige of a woman, noting that men do not usually need such functions. Therefore, he considered the ceremony a token of appreciation to his partner.

This is also why he decided to fully fund the ceremony himself without contributions from friends or family. According to Andre, he had long outlined what he wanted and made it a point to save money to make it happen. Luckily, his wife supported the decision and they worked on it together.

He added that when people rely on contributions and fundraisers, it may appear as though they were not fully prepared. He expressed happiness that his partner understood and supported his stand.

The singer-producer also applauded Sylvia for always believing in him and guiding him. According to Andre, whatever he says — even when it might not fully make sense to him — his woman always finds something sensible to build on.

Andre further revealed that now that the introduction ceremony is done, the wedding will be coming soon, promising it will be even bigger and better.

Several musicians escorted and performed at the Busia ceremony, including Winnie Nwagi, David Lutalo, Spice Diana, among other big names who graced the event.
