Musician Bebe Cool has revealed that he has no interest in the ongoing case involving TikToker Luwilight, who has been on remand for several weeks following her arrest under the Computer Misuse Act over alleged hate speech.

Luwilight was arrested after comments directed at the cake business owned by Bebe Cool’s wife, Zuena Cherina. Despite earlier reports that the Gagamel boss had forgiven the TikToker, she remains behind bars and has been sent back to Luzira Prison multiple times after court appearances. Recently, some of her lawyers and family members came out publicly, criticizing and blaming Bebe Cool for her continued detention.

However, speaking during a TikTok Live session, Bebe Cool dismissed the accusations and clarified that he and his wife moved on from the matter a long time ago.

“My wife and I forgave her a long time ago. We have never come out to keep this case in the media,” he said.

He added that it was shocking to see Luwilight’s legal team attacking him in the press, yet they had not taken legal steps that could help secure her release.

“If they want her out, they should go to the judge and do what is required. It’s not my responsibility to get her out of prison,” Bebe Cool stated.

According to the singer, his legal team has kept quiet because they withdrew active interest in the case. He accused Luwilight’s side of using the situation for publicity rather than focusing on legal solutions.

Bebe Cool further criticized social media users, saying many people comment on issues they do not understand. While he supports cleaning up abusive behavior online, he believes he already taught the TikToker a lesson.

He maintained that if Luwilight is to regain her freedom, the responsibility lies squarely with her lawyers to follow due legal process instead of “playing for the cameras.”
