Ugandan gospel singer Joseph Ngooma has shared why he settled on the Lugogo Cricket Oval as the venue for his upcoming concert scheduled for July.

Speaking during a sit-down interview on the Shalom256, Ngooma was asked about his decision to book such a large venue. The interviewer suggested that the space might be too big for him at this stage of his career.
But the gospel singer said the choice was intentional. According to him, the growing support from his fans convinced him that a bigger venue was necessary. He also believes the concert will serve as a moment of spiritual renewal for many people.
Ngooma explained that selecting a large venue is, in many ways, an act of faith.

“I chose a bigger venue believing in God to bless me and that many Ugandans will come through because they love God,” he said.
The singer added that the size of the venue doesn’t intimidate him because his confidence is rooted in his faith.
“Lugogo Cricket Oval isn’t bigger than the God I serve,” he said.
Ngooma remains optimistic that the concert will attract a large crowd, saying he expects people from all walks of life to attend — whether they are born-again Christians, longtime supporters, or even those who may be hearing about him for the first time.
