There have been changes at NBS TV, with news anchor and reporter Josephine Namakumbi parting ways with the station.

Namakumbi joined Next Media in March 2018 and quickly became a familiar face to viewers. Over the years, she anchored Amasegenjje, the Luganda news bulletin that airs every Friday, earning respect for her calm delivery and dedication to telling stories that matter.
She confirmed her departure through a heartfelt message shared on her X account, reflecting on her time at the media house.
“It has meant early mornings and long nights, breaking stories and unforgettable interviews, and an unshakable commitment to pursuing the truth,” she wrote. “Every day, I gave my very best, striving for excellence and delivering with purpose because that’s what you deserve.”

Looking back, Namakumbi said she is proud of the work she accomplished and the professionalism she maintained throughout her journey. However, she made it clear that this chapter closing does not mark the end of her career.
“This is not the end of my story, it’s simply the turning of a page,” she added. “I move forward with the same courage, authenticity, professionalism and dedication to truth that have always defined my path. See you in the next chapter, by the grace of God.”
Namakumbi’s exit comes amid broader changes at the company. She joins former Digital Marketer Edwin Danze and several other staff members who were also recently laid off.
