While appearing on Sanyuka TV, AgaNaga weighed in on recent remarks by Pallaso, clarifying that he doesn’t believe the singer was referring to him in his statements.

According to AgaNaga, he considers himself a “grandfather” figure in the industry, suggesting that Pallaso’s comments were likely aimed at younger artists.

“I am included in the list of hits. I was the only one with hits for some time. If I hadn’t joined the music industry, many things wouldn’t have happened,” he stated.

He went on to claim that he dominated the industry between 2013 and 2019 before taking a break to venture into politics, and now says he’s back to reclaim his spot.

AgaNaga also made striking remarks about his role in shaping the careers of other top artists, including Sheebah Karungi and Pallaso, suggesting that his contributions helped pave the way for their success.

Reflecting on the evolution of music production in Uganda, he credited producers like Nash Wonder for transforming the sound of the industry, moving away from earlier influences dominated by figures like Washington.

He noted that this shift was later embraced by groups such as Goodlyfe Crew, alongside artists like Pallaso and Sheebah.

Despite acknowledging other players in the industry, AgaNaga maintained that he operates on a different level when it comes to hit music.

He even issued an open challenge to fellow artists, inviting anyone who feels capable to face him musically—revealing that he has already secured a venue and is willing to facilitate the showdown himself.
