Speaking in an interview with Sanyuka TV’s Brian Makona, the “Chekecha” singer explained that the period when fans felt she looked unwell came shortly after she had given birth. She said at the time, she was still learning how to properly take care of herself as a new mother.

“I was never depressed because of a man. I had just given birth and was still figuring out how to handle postpartum and take care of myself.”

Kasita noted that with time, she understood how to manage her health, body, and lifestyle better, which explains why she now looks happier, healthier, and has gained some weight.

She laughed off the idea of being heartbroken, adding that people who are truly depressed often isolate themselves and struggle privately at home, something she says has never been her story.

In the same interview, Karole also opened up about her upcoming concert slated for May 29 at Kampala Serena Hotel, a show she says is dedicated to celebrating hardworking women and mothers. The concert, themed around women’s resilience and strength, aligns with her own journey as both an artist and a mother.

“This concert is for women to celebrate themselves, their hustle, and everything they have achieved.”

The singer emphasized that while women are the focus, men are equally welcome because they play an important supportive role in women’s success, including in her own career where several men are part of her team.

Asked whether her partner is comfortable with her energetic stage performances and close interactions with dancers, Karole said any man who chooses to date her already understands her performance style and should be able to respect the craft.
