• Deborah Cleave says her priority is caring for her husband and children.
  • She does not handle heavy household chores since hiring domestic staff in Uganda.
  • She occasionally cooks for Michael Cleave, who praises her cooking skills highly.

Socialite Deborah Cleave, popularly known as Mamideb, has shared details about her life as a married woman, revealing that her main focus is taking care of her husband, Michael Cleave, and their children.

Speaking during an interview with Flavia Namulindwa, Deborah said her daily responsibilities revolve around ensuring her home is peaceful and her husband is well looked after. She explained that beyond supervising the home, she personally makes sure Michael looks sharp and feels comfortable.

“My chores are simply to look after my man and my kids. I make sure he is well manicured, dresses well, smells good and feeds well,” Deborah said.

She added that she also takes on the responsibility of preparing the children for school and overseeing their routines. However, she clarified that she does not handle heavy household chores like washing clothes or utensils.

Deborah revealed that while living abroad with her husband, she used to do much of the housework herself. Things changed after they returned to Uganda, where they hired domestic staff.

“When we came back home, we found affordable help. We now have a house manager and a house help, so the time I would spend in the kitchen, I use it to look after my man,” she explained.

Despite having staff, Deborah noted that she still cooks occasionally, especially when her husband specifically requests her meals. According to her, Michael constantly praises her cooking, saying no restaurant matches her skills. Deborah confidently agreed, describing herself as a very good cook.

For Mamideb, marriage is about partnership, presence, and prioritizing family.
