Mikie Wine believes there are only two artists in Uganda’s music industry who have genuinely played a major role in boosting and nurturing talent, and those are Bobi Wine and Jose Chameleone.

Speaking about the impact of Fire Base Entertainment, Mikie Wine reflected on how the camp helped shape and elevate several artists who later became household names in the industry.

He proudly listed some of the talents that were nurtured under the movement including himself, Eddy Kenzo, Butcha Man, Sizza Man, Tool Man, Black Boy, Phantom Lovinz, Master Parrot, Banjo Man and many others.

According to him, the environment around Fire Base Entertainment gave upcoming artists an opportunity to grow, learn and sharpen their craft while being surrounded by people who were already talented and focused on success.

He explained that many of these artists eventually became successful because they stayed committed to the journey and respected the people who guided them along the way.

“Sometimes even being next to talented people makes you blessed,” Mikie Wine said.

He further stressed that respect, discipline and commitment were some of the biggest reasons why many of the artists from the Fire Base camp managed to build names for themselves in Uganda’s music industry.
