NUP’s Mr. Mosh, born Mosh Ssendi Afrikan, has won the Makindye II Lord Councillor race after polling 8,185 votes, defeating NRM’s Abdullah Nasser Mukasa, who received 6,088 votes. The results were officially declared by Kyobutungi Jennifer, the Returning Officer for the Kampala Electoral District.

The Makindye II constituency covers Kansanga, Kabalagala, Kibuli, Kisugu, Wabigalo, Namuwongo, Nsambya Estate, Muyenga, and Bukasa, all located in Makindye East.

Before joining politics in 2021 under the NUP banner, Mr. Mosh built his career as a radio and TV presenter, as well as an events host and emcee.

His victory completes a clean sweep for NUP in Makindye. Ali Nganda Mulyanyama has won the Makindye East MP seat, while Zahrah Luyirika has been elected MP for Makindye West, turning the entire area red for the party.
