The “Masuuka” singer made the remarks while responding to a fan who asked how she has managed to grow into the successful woman she is today, especially following conversations around women empowerment during International Women’s Day.

Jazmine explained that apart from faith in God, there is no man who can claim responsibility for financing or pushing her career forward. According to the singer, unlike some artists whose success is often linked to wealthy male backers, she has built her brand independently.

“Apart from God, there is no man behind my success. Everything I have achieved in music has been through my own hard work and persistence,” Jazmine said.

The singer noted that she has spent more than 12 years in the music industry, navigating challenges and building her career step by step.

“I have stood the test of time for over 12 years on my own shoulders and feet, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come,” she added.

Jazmine further revealed that her journey has not been without obstacles. She claimed that at some point individuals attempted to sabotage her career, including efforts that nearly affected one of her previous concerts. However, she says resilience helped her push through.

With another concert expected soon, the singer says she wants to continue proving that success is possible through dedication and self-belief.

Jazmine also encouraged women to work hard and pursue their goals independently, emphasizing that women today are capable of standing on their own.

Her remarks echo sentiments previously expressed by fellow Ugandan artist Sheebah Karungi, who has also spoken publicly about women empowerment and independence in the entertainment industry.

While emphasizing independence, Jazmine clarified that she is not against relationships, saying she would welcome a partner who is responsible, respectful and a true leader.
