Ugandan singer Pallaso has thrown down the gauntlet to fellow artists, setting a high benchmark for anyone interested in facing him in a musical battle.

Speaking during an interview on NBS TV’s Kurt program, Pallaso confidently stated that not every artist qualifies to share a battle stage with him. According to the singer, potential contenders must first prove their musical success through their YouTube numbers.
“Any artist who would want to have a musical battle with me should first check their YouTube channel and if they don’t have at least 25 songs above 1 million views, don’t contend,” Pallaso said.
The “Malamu” hitmaker explained that musical battles should feature artists who have demonstrated consistent success and influence in the industry. For him, the contest should be reserved for the very best performers with proven track records.

Pallaso described the requirement as a fair measuring scale that artists can use to evaluate whether they are ready to challenge him. He believes digital streaming numbers provide a clear picture of an artist’s reach and popularity.
“Women lie, men lie, but numbers don’t lie,” he emphasized.
The singer further challenged artists to stop making claims about their status in the industry without first presenting tangible evidence of their achievements. According to him, YouTube statistics are among the most transparent indicators of an artist’s impact on audiences.
With Pallaso placing such a demanding qualification on potential challengers, the big question now is: which Ugandan artist can confidently match the numbers and step forward for the battle?
