Singer Rabadaba has broken his silence following the death of his former partner, Nalongo Maggie Kiweesi, dismissing claims that she was deported from the United Kingdom or that he played any role in her return to Uganda.

In a lengthy statement shared on TikTok, Rabadaba addressed several allegations that have been circulating online, saying he felt compelled to set the record straight. He revealed that he and Maggie ended their relationship in October 2022 and that both had since moved on with their lives.

According to the singer, the two occasionally kept in touch after the breakup and even met when Maggie visited London. However, he said he stopped communicating with her after learning she had found love again and married Omulangila Nomuzana Nakibinge. He added that he fully supported her new relationship and even spoke to her husband, wishing the couple well.

Rabadaba also strongly denied reports that Maggie had been deported from the UK. He explained that she frequently travelled between Uganda and the UK on short visits but eventually chose to settle in Uganda because the trips had become expensive after she lost her flat. He added that Maggie had told him her benefits issues could have been resolved through a payment plan, but she made the personal decision to relocate.

The singer further rejected claims that Maggie had been depressed before her death, saying she appeared to be doing well, had found happiness in a new marriage, and was in a positive place in life. He also denied knowing Ritah Kaggwa, who has made allegations about him, insisting they have never met or spoken and describing her claims as “false and fabricated.”

Addressing accusations that he reported Maggie to British authorities, Rabadaba said the claims were baseless. He explained that when they separated, he was still unfamiliar with the UK’s systems and was focused on securing his immigration status under a creative visa while remaining involved in the lives of his children. He maintained that being present for his children was non-negotiable and said this was one of the factors that contributed to the end of their relationship.

Concluding his statement, Rabadaba urged the public to stop spreading what he described as false narratives about his relationship with the late Maggie Kiweesi. He offered his condolences to her family and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
