• Robin Kisti claims Sheilah Gashumba admired her and looked up to her as a role model during her early TV ambitions at NTV.
  • Kisti says they later became close friends, with Sheilah’s family even recording Kisti’s shows for her to watch.
  • She alleges their relationship soured after Sheilah joined T Nation, accusing her and her family of plotting against her career.

Robin Kisti says she was once a role model to Sheilah Gashumba when Sheilah was trying to break into television.

Speaking on Senga Acid’s TikTok Live, Kisti recalled first meeting Sheilah around 2010, back when she was already working at NTV. At the time, Robin was presenting Hot Steps, and later Login. Sheilah, who was still a student at Kabojja, had come to NTV looking for a job opportunity.

“I was already there before her,” Kisti explained. “Back then, Zahara Totto was presenting T Nation before she got pregnant and was replaced by Kleith Kyatuhaire. Around the same time, I had also started presenting Login. One day, I was seated in production when Sheilah came around asking for a job. I think she already knew me. Unfortunately, the producers she met weren’t welcoming. They told her the show she wanted already had a presenter, so she left.”

According to Kisti, that wasn’t the end of their interaction. Sheilah later reached out to her on Facebook, telling her how much she admired her presenting style and talent. She also shared how badly she felt she had been treated during her visit to NTV.

“I felt for her,” Kisti said. “I encouraged her not to give up.”

Not long after, Sheilah returned to NTV—this time as a co-host on T Nation alongside Kleith. Kisti says that’s when their friendship really grew.

“She used to take me out to places like Freedom City and Pizza Connection and buy me pizza,” she said. “We became close friends. I even slept at their home a few times. Her father liked me and trusted me because I was older than her. He knew she was safe with me.”

Kisti also revealed that during those days, DStv allowed people to record live shows to watch later. She claims Sheilah’s family would record her shows on video tapes for Sheilah to watch.

“All my shows were recorded,” Kisti said. “I think they wanted her to be like me.”

However, Kisti alleges that things changed once Sheilah started presenting T Nation. She claims Sheilah’s goal was to edge Kleith out and eventually take over the show on her own, which caused tension.

“She became a problem for Kleith,” Kisti claimed. “She even caused a rift between me and Kleith. I kept quiet about everything she did to me, but in the end, they worked out a plan to destroy me.”

Kisti went on to accuse Sheilah’s family of being behind allegations that later surfaced about her. She recounted an incident at a P-Square concert where Sheilah’s aunt, Patricia Sewungu, had come from London. Kisti says she already knew her as a family friend, though under a different name.

“After that concert, stories started reaching NTV that I had been seen smoking weed,” Kisti said. “That’s how the issue made it to the media, and it came from her family.”
