Singer and songwriter Shena Skies has opened up about what she sees as a major hurdle for Uganda’s music industry: the lack of support for genuine talent.

Speaking on The Horizon Vibe show on Magic 1 TV, she pointed out that managers and investors often back the “wrong people,” leaving truly talented artists struggling to get the recognition they deserve.

“We can grow into major artists like Diamond Platnumz and Ayra Starr,” she said. “But managers and music investors keep backing artists who don’t have the talent or staying power to make it.”
