Veteran comedian Amooti Omubalanguzi believes Uganda’s comedy industry is facing a decline due to a lack of naturally gifted comedians, overreliance on truth-based jokes, and free comedy shows that leave audiences with little appetite for repeat performances.

Amooti Omubalanguzi has refuted claims that he was fired from Beat FM, explaining that he officially resigned after many years at the station. The comedian says he chose to step away from radio to rest, reduce his workload, and focus more on his comedy career and Amarula Family projects.

Amooti Omubalanguzi says fearing God is the beginning of wisdom, and that’s why he rarely attends church.
